Scavenger Hunt 2. A Theatre for the performing Arts

We went to the dentist yesterday. Well what else would you do on your wedding anniversary?.......... beg pardon?...............Really? you go out to a real restaurant for a slap up meal? Gosh. We'll have to try for that next year.
When your anniversary falls in the middle of the week and it just happens to be one of the days when Mr M is working an afternoon shift (2pm to 10pm) it kind of mucks up any dreams a person might have about some quality time together.
Mr M had a dentist appointment at 10 am and as the dentist is 30 miles away I decided to go with him. That way we could chat in the car and while he was being poked with sharp instruments I could nip up the road and take a picture of the Savoy Theatre and Cinema.

This sweet little theatre claims to be the oldest working theatre in Wales. It has its own website and really is the most delightful little building. The two guys standing in the entrance smoking did not enhance its photogenic qualities but I didn't have time to shove them out of the way.

Ooh, that's quite a long way to sit in the car waiting to get to the dentist!

I like going to our dentist. I have been going to that surgery since 1971 and Richard has been my dentist since around 1978. All my fears have been soothed by him over the years and I have told him he cannot retire until after I am either toothless or dead.

I like the picture, and your story even more. Glad the Scavenger Hunt gave you a way to occupy your time.
Happy Anniversary!

A lovely little theatre indeed and I wonder what would have happened if you HAD shoved them out of the way on the grounds they were unphotogenic!

Happy Anniversary. Great planned find. I really like that about the Scavenger Hunt. I think you were very restrained I would have at least coughed very loudly, I am sure you did too.

What a great theatre, so lovely to include a bit of history.

It is nice to get the history along with the photo. I have a theatre in mind for my photo but I don't know if I will be able to get over to it to take a photo. If not I have an ugly modern building down the road that will do.

What a sweet little building tucked away in the middle of the street. I had a giggle at you shoving the smokers out of the way! I don't know if you have been back to my blog since asking the 'no-reply' blogger question. Obviously as you are one I was unable to email you the answer. I have now posted instructions. Hope that helps x

On our anniversary this month we were going to do dinner and a movie which we did but decided to get a movie from Redbox and order the pizza we always had in our early years from Pizza Hut for delivery. I love the color the letters and banner add to the photo.

I love the bunting outside the theatre! That's an awfully long way to go to the dentist - I think I would get too scared on the way!

Happy Anniversary! The idea of you shoving them out of the way as they were unphotogenic made me smile.

Wookie loved the 2 - 10 shift when he worked shifts, and the 11 - 7.
