More for the scavenger hunt

Once again I remind all viewers that I practice 40MPH photography. Mr M's hobby is driving. My hobby is taking pictures for scrapbooking and the annual scavenger hunt. we work as a team. He commits the list to memory and will sometimes slow down and say "Look, take a picture of that". I obey and then ask why. He gives me the Not-On-My-Wavelength look and says quietly "For the scavenger Hunt". Trying hard not to let his voice tell me how dumb I am being. It's ok though, I still love him.

This could be 9. a Kite or it could be a buzzard I suspect it is a buzzard

Summertime Fun Photo Scavenger Hunt -June to September 2017

First let me show you the list. This came from Patio Postcards and I am delighted to join in. I     sorry We have already started collecting. I gave a copy of the list to Mr M and he glanced at it. We went to Costco and suddenly he turns to me with a bag of asparagus in his hand and says "take the picture" I took the picture and then asked why. "The scavenger hunt!" and the tone of voice told me that this was so obvious I should have known. He has the sort of memory that retains this stuff. I read the list and couldn't even remember how many items there were.

The List:

10.   Something Yellow
11.   A toy only found out during June to September
12.   A wedding

There is a story to our hall stand (under the hats) When Miss Boo saw it in Place - she was age 10 - she turned to me and said "Oh I do like what you've done to the place". I managed to keep my face straight and thanked her then scurried to the kitchen to write it down in the notebook kept especially for things she says

More for 2016 Scavenger Hunt

21. A photograph of me with a calendar covering the time of the hunt. I have to say the expression on my face does not look happy. I wasn't cross or anything just concentrating on what Mr M was doing with my camera

7. A family gathering. Meeting with newly discovered cousins
Ela and Paul, on the right of the picture were completely unaware of our existence until about two months ago when Ela decided to research her great grandad and every google hit for his name had me as the author or source. She said that she stalked me for 72 hours and finally decided to contact me through the genealogy forum I belong to. I am so glad she did. This has brought quite a few more names onto our tree and has solved the mystery of her great grandad being "lost at sea"

20. Someone laughing. The Lord Admiral and Lady Bluefunnel. A day out with them is always an adventure and we are usually aching with laughter when we get home. This was only three quarters through the day

4. A book or magazine read during 2016. I do like this author's way of telling a romping good tale

The result of a Scavenging Day out

17. Twins. Well there are two of them and they are identical

9. Someone playing with, in, or around water.
Mr M spotted a parking place and said
"Lot's of people fishing on the shoreline"
I looked and saw this lady throwing rocks into the water
Click and it was done

13. This is the best I think I will get of the moon.
Taken at 17.49 - that's quarter to six in the evening for us
normal people what don't do military/digital time

11. Fresh produce. For us East Pondians this means fresh fruit and veg.
These could not be fresher. Five minutes before they were still
on the plants in my tiny garden
Getting into the swing of it now.

My Thanks to Rinda at Gallo Organico for organising this annual Photographic Scavenger Hunt and keeping Mr M on his toes searching for the items on the list

The Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt - 2016

16: a map showing a trip taken during the time period. 5 June to Costco
and beyond

18: Supermarket Trolley full of groceries. Wel, nearly full and all good stuff
Beetroot, lemons limes, cheese, melon, mushrooms ham and under
the ham is pork and ribeye steak - yum

6: a camper or caravan. I thought this was the M4 but it was the M5
and you have two for the price of one

19: I am allergic to alcohol so I steer clear of cocktails. My seasonal drink of choice is coffee

19: Mr M doesn't drink either so this is his newly discovered seasonal drink of choice
Lemon and Lime flavoured and absolutely delicious

10: A Bicycle. The A48 between Chepstow and Newport is usually full of cyclists
I had seven attempts to get a picture, yup seven and I had some very clear pics of kerbstones and hedges
This 40MPH photography is really hard sometimes

16: a panoramic view taken while standing somewhere high in the air.
This is the view from the front gate of the Bluefunnels house. I told you they live on the top of a hill.
They look across the Severn Estuary towards England. Those darned trees need pruning though

4: people playing a board game or card game.
Take your pick because there are borad games, war games and roleplaying games going
on in this hall. This was the one picture I knew I would get because I am one of the organisers of this Games Con.
Dragondaze was invented by me in 1984. It fell out of use for 20 years and was revived last year as a fund raising event for Barnardo's Young Carers. We seem to have done pretty well again this year.
Take a look at the website in a couple of days and we'll have the pictures of this year up there.

A dreary day but a great day out

21. A photograph of me with a sign reading "2015 Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt"
The title page of the album for this year - good grief I have just looked at the junk heap
behind me!

16. Apanoramic view, taken while standing somewhere high in the air. I don't do high. I get vertigo standing on a chair
I live in South Wales where we specialise in steep-sided valleys so this is
a Welsh panoramic vista complete with low flying clouds. The reason our valleys are so green is because
the mountains rip the bottoms out of the clouds and they leak all over the place

15. A flagpole with at least three flags on it. Only it isn't. it is actually a mast and a separate flagpole behind it
- at least thirty yards behind it. The perspective makes them look close together and the zoom lens on my
trusty Lumix (did you know it has a Leica lens?) gave the illusion. Driving up the road that is actually between
the two poles showed me that I could not cheat. This opne is going to be difficult

13. A Merry go round or carousel. Thrilled to get this one, not able to stop because this is Barry Island
on a Thursday afternoon during the high holiday season. For thos that watched Gavin & Stacey it might seem a little familiar as this is the promenade at Barry, where they would get on or off the bus. This shot taken at 20mph through the passenger window

Another shot of the same Merry go round. This time at about 5mph through the driver's window. Mr M aas a bonus in the picture. What you cannot see is the fine rain that is falling from all those ripped clouds
